Such is her life is a collection of heart-breaking, gut wrenching musings overflowing with the tales of hurt, deceit, hatred, ignorance, comparison, shaming, abuse faced by women.
I’m not at all saying that ‘just’ women face these kind of adversities, any and every human can be a victim to such cruelty and abuse, but women as a more vulnerable group are subjected to a majority of abuse and hatred of various kinds.
And this book is such collection of musings which reflects the day to day hurt experienced by our mothers, daughters, wives, daughter-in-laws, sisters more because they are born as women.
This was definitely an emotional read, picking up instances from everyday life, some of which aren’t even noticeable because most of the women have ‘gotten used to it.’
