How important is family ? How deep do the blood runs ? How long can one stay away from a loved one ? Or can a person really stay away from someone he loves ?

“People misbehave with their loved ones, take them for granted, because they believe in a tomorrow when things will get sorted. But what if there was no tomorrow ?”
This is what I believe in since the time I can remember. This is why I can never get mad at someone I truly love, because the moment I start losing my temper, it hits me, what if this is my last moment with this person ? Would I ever want to spend my last moment with the person I love by shouting at him/her ? No. Never. And this is how I could never get mad at someone I’m crazily in love with.

Koral Dasgupta has done a brilliant job at capturing the essence of family, the relationship of a brother and sister, that how deep it runs. There will be times when you’ll get mad at each other, where you wouldn’t like your family, but there can never be a moment when you would stop loving them. There can never be such a moment.
Summer Holidays by Koral Dasgupta will make you feel all these. All these things we know but fail to realise until some adverse situation arises.
Family is important, it always is and Koral Dasgupta’s Summer Holidays will take you on a journey where you’ll want to capture every single moment with your family and keep it safe in your heart.

The writing style was perspicuous and the pace of the narration was unbroken. With a suave plot and characters that seemed real the book was an enjoyable and emotional read for me. All the characters were given equal importance and just blended really well as an individual and as a group really well with the story. The element of humour, the purity of sentiments, the flashbacks, the description of places were very beautifully described.
